Membership Development
At Uganda Professional Drivers’ Network (UPDN), we believe that strengthening the capacity of our member organizations is essential for achieving safer roads, improved driver welfare, and sustainable development in Uganda’s transport sector.
Our Membership Development and Capacity Building Programs are designed to equip drivers’ associations, cooperatives, and transport organizations with the tools and knowledge they need to operate effectively and professionally. These programs focus on enhancing institutional governance, leadership skills, strategic planning, and project implementation capacity among our members.
We offer targeted training and mentorship in areas such as:
Corporate Governance and Leadership
Strategic Organizational Planning
Project Management and Resource Mobilization
Advocacy and Stakeholder Engagement
Financial Management and Accountability
These interventions are delivered through workshops, peer learning exchanges, mentorship sessions, and organizational assessments, all tailored to the specific needs of member entities.
By building stronger member organizations, UPDN ensures that drivers across Uganda are represented by capable, accountable, and visionary institutions—able to advocate for their rights, deliver services, and contribute to a safer, more professional transport sector.
